Ingrid Schaller,
Eau Claire, Wisconsin. ¡Hola! ¡Soy Ingrid Schaller! I first
experienced foreign language and culture when exchange students visited
our small Wisconsin community. Since then, I have witnessed how the
exploration of language can broaden horizons and benefit anyone it
touches - especially children. While completing my Spanish degree
at UW-La Crosse, I participated in two study abroad programs, in Puebla,
Mexico and Caen, France. I have an MA in Spanish Language and Literature
and am currently studying to obtain a degree in Spanish education.
Kinderspeak allows me to share Spanish with the people who can best
soak it up - children. When not in the classroom, I am raising a bilingual
daughter, enjoying the outdoors and reading.
Yasheka Satchell,
Westampton, NJ, has a MS in Urban and Regional Planning/Urban Affairs
from Michigan State University and a BA in English Literature from
Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA. She has over three years of teaching
experience and a NJ Teaching Certificate of Eligibility for Elementary
School. She has five years of foreign language education; three in Spanish.
Her intrigue for teaching young children a foreign language originated
well before she had her two daughters, but culminated after the
birth of her first daughter. She loves to travel with her husband
as well as witness the daily progression of her children as they reach
their full potential.
