About the Founders

Kathleen
Welsh, MA, is the developer and creator of the KinderSpeak
plan. She has spent many hours teaching Spanish to all ages,
but her favorite is the young child. She has a MA in teaching
Spanish from Purdue University and is currently teaching at
McDonell Central High School in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Kathleen
created the Spanish program at Children's House Montessori in
Eau Claire, Wisconsin, when they began teaching foreign languages
20 years ago. Kathleen is available for small group lessons

Dr. Angelo Armendariz is a native of Pamplona, Spain. He was
educated at Georgetown, Cornell, and Catholic Universities. He
is a former chairman of the Spanish foreign language departments
of Fu Jen University in Taiwan, China and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He speaks six languages
fluently and recently retired from the University of Wisconsin's
Spanish teaching department. He serves as Coordinator for
KinderSpeak Kids.
